2017 Wedding Season Behind The Scenes

Happy almost New Years! At the end of every year, I like to look back at all the behind the scenes shots that were taken of me and compile them into a big blog post! We'll start with last Spring. My wedding season started in March of last year and I enjoyed the cool weather and flowers galore!

In June I photographed a wedding at the Zoo and it was amazing! You can see a smile didn't leave my face the entire day! Tetra the penguin made her appearance I made sure to get as many photos with her as I could.

This summer I worked on a styled shoot with BlackWall Hitch in Annapolis. The chef wanted a photo with everyone after we ate his amazing waffles! I ran through many a sparkler exits without getting burned surprisingly, and sweat my butt off in the August heat!

These are instagram and snapchat shots from this August and October with some of my second shooters.

You'll notice this is the second selfie mirror photo I've included. I don't always get behind the scenes photos of myself at weddings, so when I see a mirror, I take a shot. I don't do it for now, I do it for later, when I'm looking back at my life as a wedding photographer. I spend my career behind the camera, but I need to be in front of it every once in awhile to remember how I looked and felt in that moment.

Here's a compilation of what I'm doing when I'm not holding my camera. I'm carrying trains, holding flowers, adjusting tux's and sometimes holding flowers while I'm taking photos.

This December I had two weddings and that meant snow and holiday celebrations! I got to work with Brandi of Charming Grace Events who has become a good friend of mine and shoot in the snow! It was a great way to end out the year and I'm so thankful to all the couples who make my job so fun! <3
